When you enquire about a course your name and email address are used to communicate regarding the courses.

When you book a course your name and email address is collected for communication prior to and during the course.

When you buy loose gemstones or a book, your name, address, telephone number and email address are collected to facilitate communication regarding and delivery of your book or gemstones. 

When you create a customer account the details you provide are collected to facilitate the correct functioning of your account.

When you provide us with the above personal information to enquire about a course, book a course, create an account, order or purchase we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.

 

Who do we share this information with?

We will not share your information with any third party, company or individual unless required to do so by law or as is necessary to facilitate payment for orders or delivery of goods.

 

How long do we hold your information?

For course enquiries your name and email address are held for one year.

For course bookings, book purchases and loose gemstone purchases, your information may be kept for seven years following a purchase to comply with any legal or tax requirements.

For customer accounts your information will be held as long as your account remains live.

We take all reasonable steps to ensure that your data is stored safely locked away.  All electronic devices are password protected.

Newsletter mailing list

Subscribers are only added to our email newsletter list if they have asked to be added.  This may have been at a retail event, at a class, via a signup form on this website or you may have asked to be added to the list following a purchase.   We use EmailOctopus as our email marketing provider, please see their website for their privacy policy.  They use Google reCAPTCHA to protect against bots – please see Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service for more details.

How to stop receiving marketing emails from us
Every email newsletter contains an unsubscribe link, simply click this link and it will remove you from our email list.  You can re-subscribe at any time via our website if you change your mind. 

 

Third party processors

Payments on this website are processed by Paypal and Stripe and your card details are protected by their systems.

Payments taken in person at a retail event or class are processed by SumUp who securely process your payment and will email or text you a receipt for your payment if you wish.  Sally Spencer will never see your card details.  Please visit Paypal, Stripe and SumUp’s websites for their privacy policies.

UK website purchases are sent by Royal Mail or Evri and your address and email are shared with them in order for them to deliver your purchase.  International website purchases are sent via various shipping companies using Parcel2Go and your address, email and contact number are shared with them in order for them to deliver your purchase.

We partner with Google Analytics to allow tracking technologies through the use of first party cookies and third-party cookies to analyse and track use of this website to better understand online activity.  By accessing this website, you consent to the collection and use of your information by Google Analytics. You are encouraged to review their privacy policy and contact them directly should you have any questions. We do not transfer personal information to Google Analytics.
